Abstract
Firms and unions can coexist under radiation pattern conditions, only if sometimes when a contract expires there be certain issues which arise that both sides find difficult to pommel. designed which tactics to use for reaching agreement on a labor contract when there is an impasse takes both intimacy and skill. In the role of director of industrial relations, this paper go forth outline the actions; including processes utilize and timetables, that the union should take in the burden of an impasse.

Case: GMCF Impasse

It is now your turn to recommend strategy to the company in this impasse. Considering the evidence, what action should the company take? Outline the action, including processes used and timetables.
Its understandable that GMFC needs to cut cost and bring more profitable, and its also understandable that healthcargon costs are always too high and always increasing. Understanding, knowledge, compromise, and bluffing are important tools that are needed in order to overcome the impasses of failed negotiations.



There are a couple of ways to getup the problem. GMFC could motivate employees to live healthier lives. I would recommend whirl year-end bonuses to employees who dont use any mould time as a way to encourage a healthier lifestyle. They can do this with subsidized gym memberships, bust break facilities, and rewards for appropriate weight loss or quitting smoking. changing to a cafeteria that offers healthier food choices and has the equipment for employees to cook their own meals is some other strategy. I would recommend that the company form industry sports teams and contest with other manufacturers. The initial investment in such programs seems high, but with the rising cost of healthcare, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
