The short story A Storm Gathering by Jonathan Falla, published in 2001 is about this main character whose fall upon is Malik, Malik is well educated and he is serving the poor in a t receive in Sudan with regretful conditions. Malik is suppose to cooperate all the people in the town solely it is hard for him. The land why is so hard for him is that the city suffers from ache strikes and malaria problems. Suddenly a truck with a pistillate reestablish arrives, and she is also going to help in the town. But she makes close to bad moves and in the end a big act is gathering

As mentioned before Malik has a high education, he has a Msc of Khartoum University and therefore he believes that he deserves a nice job, you can tell that he is kind of sustenance his own nightmare because of the negative things he thinks about his own life; in line number 5 and 6 he says to himself: This is not suppose to happen to me. A unyielding and hard education as he has deserves a wellpaid Job, but that is far from reality, Malik is actually very poor, you can tell that because of the graduation line which says: he lay on his rush bed. alike he does not even own a radiocommunication anymore because it got stolen. Malik is sort of living in constant maintenance of what the next day will bring.



He run throughms like a good guy who is trying to do his best in the small town which he works in, but bad condition concerning food and other necessary needs such as medicin has ruined his reputation, and he feels hated among the town citizens.

The female doctors role is to put some reason into Maliks head, Malik feels that he must save all in the village, but she has realized that the whole city cannot be saved, and it is let out to focus on those who can. But she is too much of a straight forward person, and she forgets that she is in a different awkward compared to her own. She gives the chief of the city an injection and afterwards he dies, she cannot see the problem because she feels that she did the best she could.
