Quality of life of migrants
Millions of men and women migrate from rural to urban areas every year. Only a small percentage knows what they command to do and how they are going to have a go at it in a new place. A large number of these batch compulsive by drought, starvation and often, social persecution migrate to Indias urban centres with no other aim but to find a means of livelihood. A large number of migrants find their management into the construction sector. The construction sector, with its huge demand for unskilled labour, at long last provides employment to a majority of this migrant work force. stock-still the temporary and the dangerous nature of this work leavethose migrants open to evolution economic and physical. Thus the switch from rural to urban areas is kinda often painful and unsuccessful.
These un- organised sector workers are incessantly on the verge of risks of health, life and deprived of education, employment i.e. various social securities. This major chunk of population contributes largely to the kingdoms GDP around 75% (ArjunSenguptaReport-do proper referencing). In this research, I attempt to critically turn out the condition and responses of interstate highway and intra-state migrant construction workers pertaining to their health, employment and education.



I have specifically chosen inter-state and intra- state migration because they are especially vulnerable to exploitation. These people have left their homes out of compulsion to provide for themselves and their families. They live in an alien environment and hence are socially vulnerable. Even though they are promised various social- securities,I would like to examine what exactly happens to them on the basis of an analysis of various interviews conducted with these workers.
