“The Scarlet
Letter” is a novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne written in 1850. The
novel deals with the life of Hester Prynne who gets pregnant after an
adulterous affair. As the novel is set in Puritan Salem in the 17th
century, the main character is trying to live the repentant life in
accordance with all the moral principles.
However, being pregnant
from a man who is not her husband does not quite correlate with that.
Speaking about the themes and motifs raised in the novel we should
mention the following: sin and repentance; the nature of evil; the
opposition between civilization and wilderness which, in its turn,
creates another opposition between identity and society. All these
aspects are supposed to be dealt with in the process of writing a
Scarlet Letter essay.
Obviously, you are
supposed to be familiar with the novel before you start writing an
essay. What is more, you should try to spot various allusions and
hidden messages while reading so that to use these quotes later on to
support your ideas. To write an essay dealing with the work of
fiction and do not include any quotations in it is absolutely
impossible. However, before reading you'll need to search for some
information about the novel you are going to read as in such a way
you'll get a clearer picture of what you are going to deal with.
Yet, you can still
avoid the accomplishment of all these tasks if you address your
request to the team of our highly qualified writers. They will be
able to write such sort of essay easily, thus freeing yourself from
the necessity of doing it yourself.
