Research Proposal

A research proposal is very different from dissertation writing in a variety of ways. A research proposal does not have all the basic steps that are involved in dissertation writing. A research proposal has only three main steps that include introduction, literature review and the methodology. All the necessary materials concerning the topic under study are explained in the introduction part.
The literature part in the research proposal contains past studies related to the study in relation to the topic under discussion. The last part in research proposals contains the methodology. In simple terms, methodology refers to the steps or procedures followed by a researcher in any writing. It includes the analysis procedures, data collection methods, study population as well as sample size determination.
These procedures are the most distinct in a research proposal and usually in differentiating between a research proposal and dissertation writing. A research proposal also shows how the project will be carried out and the methods that will be undertaken in carrying out dissertation writing. On the other side, dissertation writing comprises of the five basic sections that include the introduction, literature review, methodology, analysis and conclusions. It can therefore be seen that the first three sections are the same in both dissertation writing and research proposal.
Dissertation writing also contains more materials than a research proposal. The topics in research proposals are similar to those carried out in dissertation writing. The only difference comes in the contents contained in either research proposal or any other form of writing. Following these procedures, it is therefore very important to any person who decides to undertake any of the writing discussed.
